Job Summary -

Job Title: Azure Cloud Automation Engineer

Duration: 6+ Months

Location: Remote

Azure Cloud Automation Engineer

BASIC FUNCTION The Enterprise Cloud Automation Engineer serves as the lead software engineer for a team of cloud architects and engineers. Specifically, this position will be responsible for creating, maintaining and improving infrastructure and software deployments in various public cloud environments such as Microsoft Azure, AWS and Oracle Cloud. Further, this individual will enhance tools and automation that the cloud support team leverages as well as build and enhance self-service tools for end users of the managed cloud environments. The function will also be responsible for the overall design of the CI/CD pipeline standards, the team's Git repository and fundamentally serve as the team's escalation on all matters related to software development.

PRINCIPAL REQUIREMENTS

• Deep understanding of the software development life-cycle

• Ability to apply programming expertise to develop new automation processes

• Develop automation code to deploy and maintain infrastructure and applications

• Proficient with multiple programming and scripting languages (PowerShell, bash, Python and PHP)

• Ability to create new workflows leveraging MS SharePoint and ServiceNow

• Fundamental understanding of Windows permissions, networking and privilege elevation

• Experience with code management tools (Git)

• Working knowledge of Infrastructure management tools (Ansible or Terraform)

• Familiarity/Experience with container technologies, e.g. Docker, Kubernetes etc.

• Experience with Relational Databases (MSSQL, Oracle)

• A clear understanding of cloud service and deployment models

EDUCATION/LANGUAGE Bachelor's degree in CS, MIS or related technology/engineering discipline preferred or equivalent experience required.

EXPERIENCE / SKILLS

• Ten (10) years of professional experience as a software engineer

• Five (5) years of Linux/Unix command line experience

• Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) Pipeline

• Familiar with DevOps principles

• Kubernetes Experience

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate

• Extremely detailed oriented

• Good communications skills
