Job Description Summary

The Role: Software Development Engineer in Test

The Team

• The team works in the SAFe agile environment and adheres to all principles of Agile. As SDET, you will work with a team of intelligent, ambitious and results-oriented software professionals. The team is independent in driving all decisions and is responsible for the design and quick turnaround of development of our products with the highest quality.

Responsibilities

• o Design and develop automation/performance/load testing solutions that meet organization standards for APIs/services, database, and web
• o Build reliable, reusable and maintainable automated regression suites & test harnesses
• o Design and develop test strategies/test cases based on acceptance criteria, execute test cases, analyze and communicate test results to the team/manager
• o Perform in-sprint automated & performance/load testing to fulfill the Definition of Done
• o Participate actively in functional, system and regression testing activities
• o Work in the agile environment, attend and contribute to all scrum ceremonies (daily scrum, sprint planning, backlog refinement and retrospectives)
• o Present work during sprint reviews to wider IT, Product, and Business audience
• o Ensure best practices are followed and testing activities stay on schedule
• o Capture test metrics
• o Work with team members in other geographic locations

What we're looking for

o Bachelor's/PG degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent. o 5+ years of experience in software testing or development with good understanding of testing, coding and debugging procedure o Experience in functional testing of complex workflows o Experience in design and development of automated tests using automation tools (e.g. Selenium, Appium) across the application layers (UI/Service/Data layers) o Experience in API testing using Postman, Rest-Assured (preferred), Ready API and Soap UI o Experience with source control tools such as GIT o Proficient in Agile, QA methodologies, defect management system, and documentation. o Strong communication skills and ability to deliver clear, concise documentation and presentations o Knowledge on Karate framework is a plus o Experience with cloud technologies (AWS) and/or AWS certification is a plus o Experience with Jemeter is a plus o Knowledge of CICD is a plus
