Job Summary

Job Title: SW Test Engineer

Location: Lombard, IL

Salary: DOE Full Time Permanent Role

Essential Functions of the Job

• Hands-on Engineer with at least 3 years of proven experience in development and/or testing software with big data components (Spark, Hive, Parquet, NoSQL).

• Proven experience developing and testing using AWS services, especially valuable services such EMR, ECS, AWS Batch, RDS.

• At least 5 years of hands-on experience with SQL and relational databases.

• At least 3 years of development experience with JVM languages.

• Experience with test automation and scripting for test automation tools.

• Experience scripting, running and analyzing performance test. NeoLoad preferred.

• Experience testing ETL processes.

• UI manual and automated testing experience.

• Experience in agile environment.

• Very good communication skills.

• Industry experience is plus.

The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face. Travel may be required as per the job requirements.
