Role & seniority: Test Technician / Electrical/Automation Technician (mid-level; reports to Department Manager or Senior Test Engineer)

Stack/tools: Nitrogen Generator test setup; PLC programming (basic); QA/HSE procedures; test instruments and tools; MS Office; on-site test facility

Top 3 responsibilities

  • Perform final inspection and testing of Nitrogen Generator units; conduct functional and capacity tests per project plans

  • Ensure QA/HSE compliance, execute tests to defined timelines, scope, and quality requirements

  • Maintain and develop the test facility, assist with equipment maintenance and instrument ownership; contribute to product development and continuous improvement

Must-have skills

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in electrical, electronics, or automation

  • Technical college education in relevant fields (or equivalent experience)

  • Proficient IT skills (MS Office); capable of basic PLC programming

  • Fluent Norwegian (written and spoken); comfortable in English

  • Strong documentation, reliability, accuracy, and incremental/independent work ethic

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the process or gas industry

  • Location & work type: Norway; on-site, full-time (local language requirement noted)

Reimagine What’s Possible Responsibilities • Performing final inspection and testing of our Nitrogen Generator units • Conducting functional and capacity tests according to project plans and test procedures • Ensuring compliance with applicable QA and HSE procedures, and executing tests according to defined timelines, scope, and quality requirements • Contributing to the operation, maintenance, and continuous development of the test facility • Performing and participating in general tasks such as equipment maintenance, and responsibility for test instruments and tools as assigned by the Department Manager or Senior Test Engineer • Performing basic PLC programming • Supporting product development through collaboration with project managers and product owners • Participating actively in the company’s continuous improvement efforts • Supporting the company’s environmental policies within your area of responsibility Qualifications & Skills • Minimum 2 years of practical experience within electrical, electronics, or automation disciplines • Preferably technical college education within relevant fields • Good IT skills, including proficiency in MS Office • Relevant work experience may compensate for lack of formal education • Experience from the process or gas industry is an advantage • Fluent Norwegian (written and spoken) and comfortable in English Personal Characteristics • Structured, accurate, and strong documentation skills • Reliable and responsible • Calm, controlled, and precise working style • Proactive and solution-oriented • Detail-oriented with the ability to see the bigger picture • Enjoys teamwork but can also work independently We are the world’s largest hydrogen producer with over 80 years of industrial gas experience.
