  • Review work orders, release maintenance, ensure proper documentation, and forward records to Records; conduct facility quality audits

Must-have skills

  • Valid Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) license; valid state driver’s license

  • High School diploma or GED; 5 years of turbine-powered aircraft/helicopter experience

  • Proficiency with MS Office and web-based maintenance/inventory systems; ability to work with FAA data and compliance requirements; able to pass FAA drug/alcohol testing

Quality Assurance Inspector

IMMEDIATELY HIRING! Quality Assurance Inspector FULL-TIME Opportunity in Blanding, Utah

Starting Wage: $31.00 - $36.00/hour

The Quality Assurance Inspector is responsible to the Quality Assurance Manager for the performance of assigned duties and projects required to ensure compliance with the GMR quality assurance program and Federal Aviation Regulations.

Responsibilities

Performs in‑process inspections, final inspections, and functional check observations of major aircraft repairs and alterations to ensure conformity with all applicable approved data, including STC and DER engineering documentation, avionics installation manuals and drawings, FAA AC 43.13‑1/-2, Structural Repair Manuals, and other FAA‑approved technical data. Performs in-process inspections, final inspections, and observation of functional checks of aircraft during major inspection events utilizing the appropriate FAA approved Aircraft Inspection Programs (AAIP), manufacturer’s Maintenance Manuals, Instructions for Continued Airworthiness, and other acceptable methods, techniques, and practices. Performs oversight of Operation Check Flights during Depot Work Order events ensuring aircraft airworthiness and compliance with applicable GMM policy and procedures. Ensures all parts and materials consumed during the maintenance or alteration process are approved aviation parts or are industry standard parts and have installation eligibility for the aircraft/engine make/model being maintained and/or altered. Coordinates with Quality Assurance department for major repair and/or alteration engineering data ensuring that all aspects of the repair and/or alteration have FAA approved data. Participates in FAA Conformity Inspections for adding aircraft to 14CFR Part 135 Air Carrier Certificate. Ensures current and applicable technical data is used for the performance of all maintenance and alterations. Ensures the appropriate special tools and test equipment are used as specified in the applicable technical instructions and that the special tools and test equipment requiring calibration are calibrated to NIST standards. Reviews work order forms and associated documents for accuracy and completeness in accordance with GMM policy and procedures prior to approving the aircraft for return to service. Reviews the documentation of Major Repair and/or Alterations and executes the appropriate maintenance release and FAA Form 337. Forwards all aircraft maintenance and alteration documentation to the Records department in accordance with GMM policy and procedures. Performs quality audits of the facility assigned ensuring compliance with all GMM and company policy and procedures. Performs reviews of the technical database program (RAMCO) to ensure all work performed on a deport work order has been recorded and updated accurately. Performs incoming inspections of parts and materials at the regional maintenance facilities. Performs other duties and tasks as assigned by the Quality Assurance Manager.

Minimum Required Qualifications

Valid Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license Valid State issued Driver's license High School diploma or GED equivalent Certificate of Completion of OEM Field Maintenance Courses, for company-maintained aircraft and engines (able to be obtained at a later date) Five (5) years of turbine Powered Airplane/Helicopter experience Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Web based Inventory / Maintenance Tracking Systems, Internet, E-mail. Must be acceptable in accordance with the FAA drug and alcohol testing program.

Preferred Qualifications

Two (2) years with FAR Part 135 Operation Quality Assurance Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management, Maintenance or Technology or a related field. FAA Inspection Authorization Certificate
