Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Aircraft Quality Assurance Inspector to join our team at Silver Air. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and safety of all aircraft operations in our Part 135 fleet and ensuring all aircraft maintenance accomplished on fleet aircraft meet the technical standards as established by the aircraft manufacturer, the Federal Aviation Administration and Silver Air. Quality Assurance Inspectors are responsible to objectively enforce proper aircraft maintenance procedures.

As an Aircraft Quality Assurance Inspector, you will be responsible for conducting audits of aircraft return to service documentation, maintenance vendor approvals and other CASS requirements as outlined by Silver Air Maintenance Procedure Manual and with all relevant regulations. This will involve reviewing and analyzing aircraft maintenance records, as well as conducting on-site inspections of aircraft maintenance vendors and even corporate aircraft.

In addition to conducting audits and inspections, you will also be responsible for identifying and addressing any potential quality or safety issues, as well as implementing and monitoring corrective actions as necessary. You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date records within the Quality Department and ensuring department needs are addressed.

To be successful in this role, you should have a strong understanding of aircraft systems and components, as well as familiarity with FAA regulations and industry best practices. You should also have excellent attention to detail, with emphasis on precision and strong problem-solving skills.

What you'll be doing

Review return-to-service documentation for accuracy and conformity to applicable FAA regulations; arrange for corrections when needed. Verify proper logbook entries, part certifications, RII approvals, technical references (AMM, STC, AD, SB), vendor qualifications, and Form 337 (ICAs & AFMS) for completeness and accuracy. Maintain and organize aircraft records for airframe, engines, and auxiliary power units (APUs). Support maintenance organization approvals, including verification of RII personnel credentials. Assist with department document control, including manual build-out, editing, and file maintenance. Monitor and maintain historical records of all aircraft, engines, and accessories operated by Silver Air. Travel as needed to perform physical aircraft conformity inspections in accordance with company procedures. Conduct records reviews and evaluations; prepare and submit compliance reports to the FAA as required. Track and verify time/cycle limitations for inspections, parts replacements, and overhauls per the aircraft’s maintenance program and regulatory requirements. Assist in developing and refining inspection procedures to ensure airworthiness and regulatory compliance. Compile data for the Continuing Analysis and Surveillance System (CASS) program. Prepare conformity packages for FAA review in coordination with the Chief Inspector. Review compliance with Airworthiness Directives, Service Bulletins, and other technical publications. Interface with FAA inspectors as assigned. Conduct quality audits of aircraft, internal departments, vendors, and FAA compliance activities. Partner with the Chief Inspector on special projects and initiatives. Audit and manage MEL programs to ensure accuracy and compliance. Support administrative tasks including mailing, filing, and document preparation. Contribute to inspection program and maintenance system development, ensuring accuracy in documentation and timely data entry. Collaborate with vendor QA departments to ensure accurate and timely return-to-service documentation. Perform additional duties as assigned by the Chief Inspector and/or Director of Maintenance.

To do well in this role, you'll need

High school diploma. Or equivalent. Experience in corporate aviation. Prior QA department experience preferred. 3+ years is preferred. Part 135 and/or 121 experience. 3+ years is preferred. Evaluation and correction of return to service documentation Airworthiness Directive and Service Bulletin management and sign-off requirements Major repair and alteration documentation evaluation Knowledge of aircraft equipment and airworthiness requirements Aircraft/Operations/ Company forms and manual build out, editing document control A&P License. This is required. Maintenance tracking software experience. This includes CAMP, Flight docs, CMP, etc. This is preferred. Strong customer service skills. Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) will need to be demonstrated with all levels of employees and clients. Communication must always be delivered with a superior level of professionalism. High level of detail. You'll need to be highly organized with the ability to thrive in changing environments and the flexibility for frequently changing priorities. Excellent time management skills. Being able to work well under pressure and having the ability to multi-task and problem-solve is a crucial component of the role. Strong people skills. You'll need to be a team player who can provide valued contributions to our business and clients.
