We are looking for you if: You are proactive, analytical, and comfortable operating in a complex, global stakeholder landscape You combine regulatory awareness with technical understanding and strong communication skills You are structured, decisive, and capable of orchestrating teams across locations and domains You have Master's degree (Data, Finance, Risk, Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields) You have 7+ years of experience in Risk, Data Management, Data Governance, or regulatory transformation within financial services You have proven experience with Data Quality management, BCBS239 or regulatory data governance Understanding of multiple risk types (Credit, Market, Operational, ESG, Financial Risk) You have experience leading global services, processes or teams within a matrix organization You have strong analytical and conceptual skills, with ability to translate requirements into operational processes You ave strong understanding of data platforms, metadata, lineage, and DQ tooling Excellent command of English. You'll get extra points for You have Experience with SQL, Python, SAS or similar is a plus (not mandatory) Your responsibilities Ensuring that Risk domain data meets ING’s internal data quality policies, regulatory requirements, and the BCBS239 principles Leading the development and execution of the global Data Quality Assurance (DQA) framework across all risk types - including Credit Risk, ESG , Financial Risk and Operational Risk - ensuring consistency, transparency, and reliability of data used across the risk value chain Designing and operating DQA services end‑to‑end: from defining data quality expectations, to coordinating monitoring and issue remediation, to embedding DQ controls within operational processes and technology platforms Deliver Data Quality Excellence Own the Risk Data Quality Assurance service and ensure compliance with ING’s Data Management Framework, data quality policies, and BCBS239 requirements Implement and maintain the global DQ assessment, monitoring and reporting framework across all risk domains Ensure proper controls, validation, and traceability for critical risk datasets Drive BCBS239 Implementation Take crucial part of BCBS239 Data Quality requirements rollout for COO Risk and coordinate alignment with CRO-led activities Translate BCBS239 principles into operational service standards, DQ controls, and sustainable processes Ensure that systems, data flows, and processes across Risk domains meet regulatory expectations Service Management & Governance Build strong relationships with stakeholders across CRO, COO, business lines, and ING Hubs Set up and run governance forums on Data Quality, issues, and regulatory readiness Monitor performance through SLAs, KPIs, and adoption of standardized DQ tooling and dashboards Coordinate Cross‑Risk DQ Activities Oversee DQ services for Credit Risk, ESG Risk, Market & Financial Risk, Operational & Non‑Financial Risk Ensure alignment of methodologies, assessment criteria, and DQ processes across all domains Enable Process & Technology Improvements Identify and drive automation of DQ controls, DQ dashboards, and monitoring pipelines Collaborate with tech and data engineering teams to embed DQ rules in data products and platforms Standardize and scale DQ services globally through ING Hubs Leadership & People Development Act as a role model and service owner, fostering a culture of data discipline, transparency, and continuous improvement Support talent development, onboarding, and knowledge building in multiple locations Information about the squad: Global Risk Services is part of COO Risk, positioned at the heart of ING’s global Risk organization. We support all risk‑related processes and systems by providing end‑to‑end services for Risk data, reporting, and control with expertise spanning regulatory compliance (incl. BCBS239), data governance, risk operational services and risk reporting. You will operate in a global, cross‑functional network spanning the Risk Data Tribe, ESG Tribe, Credit Risk Tribe, Financial Risk, Modelling Tribe and other stakeholders across CRO and business domains. Team operates in a fully integrated, cross‑location setup across the Netherlands, Poland, and the Philippines, collaborating daily as one global Risk data service organization.
