Position Summary Samsung Electronics America, Inc. is now accepting applications for its Summer 2026 Intern Program. This exciting opportunity offers a paid, 10-week experience for selected UNDERGRAD OR GRAD (based on HM request) students. The program will run from June 1 to August 7. Eligible students will be seniors or recent graduates, possess U.S. work authorization, and be able to work full-time on a 5-day-per-week on-site schedule. Additionally, participation in this program requires that you be located in the United States for the duration of the engagement. Role and Responsibilities Position Summary The summer intern will be a shared resource between the Advanced Tech Support and Platform OA&M teams, providing a well-rounded and comprehensive experience. The intern will collaborate with these teams to develop and implement scripts designed to detect network anomalies and, where feasible, take corrective actions. This role will require the intern to gain a deep understanding of network architecture, logic, processing, and the parameters that control network operations. In addition to script development, the intern will partner with the teams to design and enhance dashboards for network monitoring. These dashboards will play a critical role in improving overall performance awareness, enabling the team to proactively address potential issues and optimize network efficiency. The intern will also have the opportunity to work on various projects that align with the strategic goals of the team, contributing to the continuous improvement of Samsung's network infrastructure. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement scripts to detect network anomalies and recommend or execute corrective actions. Gain a comprehensive understanding of network architecture, logic, processing, and control parameters. Collaborate with the Advanced Tech Support and Platform OA&M teams to design and enhance network monitoring dashboards. Participate in team meetings, brainstorming sessions, and project planning activities. Document processes, findings, and recommendations in a clear and concise manner. Qualifications Education: Currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree. Preferred academic fields of study: Bachelor's/Master's in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering with exposure to Wireless Communications. Rising seniors, recent graduates, or final-year graduate students are strongly preferred. Technical Skills: Background or training in telecommunications. Understanding of network fundamentals and high-level call flow processes. Basic knowledge of overall Wireless systems, with a focus on call processing or network management. Programming proficiency in any of the following languages: Python, Spark, R, SQL, Hive, JavaScript, Visual Basic, or C++. Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau. Skills: Ability to work independently while effectively engaging with peers and team members. Strong communication skills to ask clarifying questions about project objectives, goals, and deliverables. Demonstrated time management skills to determine project requirements and plan timelines for successful delivery. Reliability and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to addressing challenges without constant supervision.
