Salary: $98,219 - $103,180 / year
Role & seniority: Software and Test Engineer (mid-level) for the SDA program; 2+ years’ experience or Master’s with 6 months’ experience; U.S. citizenship required.
Stack/tools: Linux; Python; system testing and troubleshooting; test automation and tooling; hardware/software integration; network/routing and signal processing (preferred).
Interoperability testing as part of a cross-functional team.
Perform system testing, troubleshooting, and verify integrations across hardware/software.
Develop and apply test automation and tooling; contribute to process improvements.
Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering or related field (or Master’s with required experience).
2+ years’ job-related experience (or 6 months with Master’s); DoD Top Secret security clearance and U.S. citizenship.
Proficiency with Linux and Python; strong understanding of software development processes; ability to work with limited oversight.
Strong communication skills and ability to apply System Engineering principles.
Network/routing analysis, signal processing experience.
System testing, troubleshooting, and hardware/software integration experience.
Test automation/tooling experience; creative problem-solving; collaborative, leadership-capable mindset.
Location & work type: On-site/Hybrid/Remote options for SDA team; Scottsdale, Arizona base; 9/80 schedule available (every other Friday off)
Basic Qualifications Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering, Technology or Mathematics field. Also requires 2+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree and 6 months of job-related experience.
CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Department of Defense Top Secret security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
