General Summary

• Develop and execute test plans for Linux-based environments.
• Experience in the Opensource environment testing is needed.
• Perform functional, integration, and regression testing on Linux systems and applications.
• Troubleshoot and analyze issues identified during testing.
• Collaborate with developers, system administrators, and other stakeholders to improve system performance and reliability.
• Document test results and provide detailed reports to project teams.
• Automate testing processes using scripting languages such as Lava, SHell, Python.
• Must possess practical experience with GitHub, along with expertise in open-source workflows, including upstream, downstream, and mainline processes
• Proven experience in Linux system testing and troubleshooting.
• Strong understanding of Linux operating systems, including distributions like Ubuntu.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Test Engineering or related work experience.

• OR

• Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Software Test Engineering or related work experience.

• OR

• PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.

• 1+ year of work or academic experience with Software Test or System Test, developing and automating test plans and/or tools (e.g., Source Code Control Systems, Continuous Integration Tools, and Bug Tracking Tools).
