Full Description

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Appian QA Engineer with 4+ years of experience in testing Appian BPM applications. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in validating business process automation solutions built on the Appian low-code platform, ensuring quality, performance, and reliability across releases with minimal supervision.

Analyze business and functional requirements for Appian applications and prepare comprehensive test scenarios and test cases
Perform functional, integration, system, regression, and UAT testing of Appian BPM solutions
Validate Appian components including process models, SAIL interfaces, records, rules, reports, sites, and CDTs
Test integrations with third-party systems using REST/SOAP APIs, plug-ins, and connected systems
Conduct data validation against relational databases (Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server, etc.)
Perform application performance and reliability testing and support defect root-cause analysis
Log, track, and manage defects using tools like JIRA, ensuring proper closure
Collaborate closely with developers, BAs, and product owners in an Agile/Scrum environment
Support UAT cycles, production validation, and release sign-offs
Maintain test documentation, test reports, and quality metrics
Mentor junior QA team members and support knowledge sharing initiatives
Stay updated with Appian platform changes and recommend testing best practices

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
4+ years of experience in QA / Software Testing with strong exposure to Appian BPM applications
Strong understanding of Appian architecture, workflows, and application lifecycle
Hands-on experience testing Appian versions 21.x or later
Experience testing SAIL interfaces, process models, records, sites, CDTs, and reports
Strong experience in API testing (REST/SOAP) using Postman or similar tools
Proficient in manual testing and test case design
Experience with Appian deployments, app packages, and import/export validation
Solid experience with relational databases (Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server) and SQL queries
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
Experience with defect tracking and test management tools (JIRA, Zephyr, etc.)

Appian Level 1 or Level 2 certification
Experience with test automation (Selenium, API automation, Appian testing tools)
