Gather and format test requirements from internal/external customers and assist in feedback.

Perform/oversee power electronics Product Verification & Validation testing, internal or external; troubleshoot and determine root cause with support.

Maintain accurate documentation of results and schedules; communicate status to customers; ensure testing aligns with product specs; collaborate with project team; travel as needed.
Must-have skills

JOB TITLE: PV&V Electrification Test Engineer

Summary
Test engineer, this worker will need to understand how to use lab equipment and analyze data. This person will work with a cross-functional design team, particularly in power electronics to determine testing requirements for the client and OEM products. This person will perform, with some assistance, test procedures, motor characterization, battery testing JDQ tests and reports. Will perform tasks with one-on-one supervision to meet quality, delivery and cost goals. This position requires technical judgment, teamwork and independent thinking to solve problems and complete assigned projects.
Duties
Gather and format test requirements from internal and external customers with assistance from others. Review and provide proper feedback about the requirements. Perform and oversee, with assistance, the performance of power electronic Product Verification and Validation testing performed internally or externally. Maintain accurate and up to date documentation of testing results and schedule progress. Communicate results and schedule progress to internal and external customers. Employ troubleshooting and debugging strategies; determine root cause with support from others and provide support in troubleshooting. Establish and maintain good working relationships with internal and external customers. Work closely with other project team members as needed to ensure the testing is performed as specified in the product specifications. Travel as needed to accomplish the tasks required of this position, including meeting with customers to generate and/or revise concepts and product requirements. (Travel could be 1 or 2 times a year and would always be in the USA. No international travel. ) Support other needs of the department as needed.
Education
Minimum B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering, Ag Engineering, or Industrial Engineering from an accredited engineering program or equivalent.
