Role Overview This role requires a QA Engineer with strong manual testing skills and proven automation experience who can contribute effectively from day one in Agile teams.
Key Responsibilities Design, review, and execute manual test cases for web applications based on PRDs, user stories, and acceptance criteria using JIRA + Zephyr. Perform hands-on automation scripting and execution using Selenium or Playwright for web applications. Execute API testing using Postman or equivalent API testing tools to validate request/response behavior, error handling, and data integrity. Participate actively in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and test planning to ensure requirement clarity and testability. Execute functional, regression, smoke, and sanity testing as per sprint and release cycles. Log, track, and verify defects using JIRA, ensuring proper severity, priority, and reproducibility. Collaborate closely with developers to validate fixes and clarify functional gaps. Execute automation suites locally or via CI pipelines and analyze failures. Follow defined QA processes, documentation standards, and reporting guidelines consistently.
