Quality Assurance Engineer

Location: Australia

Employment Type: Full-time About the Role We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Quality Assurance Engineer to join our software development team in Australia. In this role, you will ensure that our products meet high standards of quality, performance, and reliability through effective testing practices, defect management, and collaboration with cross-functional teams. Key Responsibilities Develop, execute, and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on business and technical requirements Conduct manual and automated testing including functional, regression, integration, system, and UAT testing Identify, document, and track software defects, and verify fixes in collaboration with development teams Collaborate with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to clarify requirements and resolve quality issues Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, standards, and best practices Ensure software releases meet quality, performance, and reliability standards Required Skills & Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or a related field Proven experience as a QA Engineer or Software Tester Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, QA processes, and defect management Experience with test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail, Zephyr) Familiarity with Agile/Scrum software development environments Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills High attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality software Nice to Have Experience with test automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or Appium Basic programming or scripting knowledge (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript) Experience testing APIs, web applications, or mobile applications QA-related certifications such as ISTQB Experience in regulated or enterprise environments What We Offer Competitive salary package Supportive and collaborative team culture Career development and growth opportunities Flexible working arrangements (hybrid/remote options where applicable)
