Job Title: QA Engineer – Mobile Testing

Location: Calgary, AB

Duration: Contract to Hire (6 months CTH)

Job Summary

• We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced QA Engineer with strong expertise in mobile application testing to join our team supporting a leading financial client. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in testing mobile apps across platforms, a solid understanding of QA methodologies, and familiarity with financial domain standards and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute test plans and test cases for mobile applications (iOS and Android).
• Perform functional, regression, usability, and performance testing.
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure high-quality releases.
• Identify, document, and track bugs using tools like JIRA or similar.
• Automate mobile tests using tools such as Appium, Espresso, or XCUITest.
• Ensure compliance with financial industry standards and security protocols.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 7 years of experience in QA, with at least 5 years focused on mobile testing.
• Strong knowledge of mobile platforms (iOS, Android) and device testing.
• Experience with mobile automation tools (Appium, Espresso, XCUITest).
• Java Coding experience required.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Understanding of financial applications and regulatory requirements is a plus.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• ISTQB or equivalent QA certification.
• Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).
• Exposure to security testing in financial applications.
