About The Role
We are seeking a skilled Automation Tester with hands-on experience in Cypress to join our quality engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated test scripts to ensure the delivery of high‑quality software. Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams are essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using Cypress. Perform functional, regression, integration, and API testing as needed. Collaborate with developers, product managers, and QA teams to identify, document, and troubleshoot defects. Participate in test planning, test case design, and test documentation. Optimize automation frameworks and contribute to continuous improvement of testing practices. Analyze test results, identify trends, and provide detailed reports. Ensure adherence to QA standards, best practices, and timelines in a hybrid work environment.
Qualifications
2–4 years of proven experience as an Automation Tester. Strong hands-on experience with Cypress for automation. Good understanding of JavaScript / TypeScript (preferred for Cypress automation). Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps). Familiarity with version control systems such as Git. Basic knowledge of backend/API testing (Postman, REST APIs, etc.). Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Nice-to-Have Skills
Experience in Agile/Scrum environments. Familiarity with other automation tools (Selenium, Playwright, etc.). Knowledge of cloud‑based testing platforms.
Education Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
