Salary: $105,814 - $117,387 / year
Role & seniority: PCS Test Engineer (mid-to-senior); requires 5+ years of experience (or Master’s +3 years); includes systems engineering tasking for overall development/integration.
Stack/tools: DOORS; automated testing tools/frameworks (Selenium, JUnit, pytest); scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell); test fixtures and diagnostic programs; defect tracking (JIRA/Bugzilla); documentation and reporting.
Develop, implement, and execute test plans, cases, and procedures for the Payload Control System to meet requirements.
Design and run functional, integration, regression, and performance tests; troubleshoot and perform root-cause analysis.
Develop automated test scripts, maintain test frameworks, document results, track defects, and communicate findings; support field testing and systems engineering activities as needed.
Must-have skills: Bachelor’s in Engineering/CS or related field (or equivalent); 2+ years relevant experience (or Master’s); proven software/system testing in defense/aerospace; strong test design methodologies; strong analytical and communication skills; ability to collaborate in a team.
Nice-to-haves: Experience with defense systems and payload integration; familiarity with Navy maintenance procedures; experience with DOORS and automation tools; scripting proficiency; defect tracking (JIRA); prior systems engineering exposure; knowledge of BYG-1, SWFTS, CIS, CCE; former Navy experience (FT) is a plus.
