Intermedia is looking for a Core Systems Automation Engineer – L1 to join our Platform & Operations team.
In this role, you will design, implement, and maintain automation-driven infrastructure solutions in a highly available production environment. The position focuses on improving operational efficiency, reliability, and observability through scripting, automation, and modern infrastructure practices.
This is a remote position supporting a global environment.
Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain automation solutions for infrastructure and operations Create, modify, and maintain scripts using PowerShell (required), Python, and Ansible Apply Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles to system configuration and deployment Maintain and enhance monitoring and alerting platforms (Grafana, Zabbix) Integrate systems using APIs (REST, JSON, YAML) Support virtualization platforms including VMware and Hyper-V Troubleshoot complex system, performance, and automation issues in production environments Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure projects and platform improvements Maintain source control using Git and contribute to CI/CD pipelines where applicable Document systems, processes, and automation workflows
