Role Overview

The QA Automation Engineer will design, implement, and maintain automated testing frameworks to reduce manual testing effort and improve overall product quality. This role works closely with developers and DevOps teams to integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines.

Key Responsibilities

Automation Framework Development

• Architect, build, and maintain scalable automated testing frameworks for web, mobile, and API layers.

Test Script Creation

• Write, debug, and maintain automated test scripts to replace repetitive manual test cases.

CI/CD Integration

• Integrate automated tests into continuous integration and deployment pipelines to ensure quality at every build.

Defect Management

• Identify, document, and track defects with clear reproduction steps and collaborate with development teams to resolve issues.

Test Strategy & Execution

• Develop and execute test plans covering smoke, functional, regression, and end-to-end testing.

Requirements

Technical Requirements

Advanced hands-on experience with automation tools such as Cypress, Playwright, or Selenium. Strong programming skills in JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, or Java. Proven expertise in API automation testing using tools like Postman, SuperTest, or RestAssured. Proficiency in Git-based version control systems (GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket). Ability to write SQL queries to validate backend data and perform state-based testing.
