Role & seniority: Data Quality / Quality Assurance role within ADSO (EMEA AI Data Service & Operations); 12-month contract via a third-party agency (not TikTok employee).
Stack/tools: Knowledge of search engines; familiarity with social media platforms (TikTok); common office software; experience with search evaluation processes.
Quality inspection of evaluated data and daily tasks of specialists; localize policies and conduct policy training; align with policy updates.
Lead calibration meetings in appeals, analyze cases, record/evaluate performance, and propose solutions to improve accuracy and alignment.
Collaborate with R&D and Product Management to provide feedback on data quality; handle sensitive content issues as part of workflow.
Bachelor’s degree or higher; fluent in French (communication with French markets) and English (working language).
Strong learning ability; solid understanding of local culture and Internet usage habits.
Familiarity with search engines and social media platforms; ability to navigate policy and guidelines.
Responsibilities In ADSO, we are the EMEA AI Data Service and Operations team under TikTok Product (abbreviation: ADSO), mainly providing safety and non-safety data annotation services and search operation services for all of the company's international products, which can also help international products build their own data ecological security.
To eliminate any doubt, this role involves reading, viewing, listening and examining user-generated content to ensure they comply with community guidelines. Content includes images, video, text related to every day life, but they can also include (but are not limited to) bullying; hate speech; child abuse; sexual assault; torture; bestiality; self-harm; suicide; murder. It is possible that this role will be exposed to harmful content on a daily basis.
Quality inspection of evaluated data and daily tasks of specialists.
Localise the policies, be responsible for policy training, and align the policy updates.
Conduct calibration meetings with the team in the appeal process: analyse different cases, record and evaluate their performance, offer solution and suggestion for the current problem to help the team improve the accuracy rate and alignment.
Work closely with R&D(Research and Development) and PM(Product Manager) in order to provide feedback on data quality.
Willing to work with sensitive issues that include child exploitation, a variety of religious and political views, violence, adult & sexual content.
And any other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or above.
Fluency in French is required as the role requires communication with French markets, fluent in English is also required as it is the working language.
Knowledge about search engines, familiar with social media platforms, especially TikTok.
An in-depth understanding of local culture and familiarity with the Internet usage habits of local users.
Strong ability to learn and understand.
