Job Description We are seeking an experienced Selenium QA Automation Lead to oversee day‑to‑day automation testing activities, strengthen quality engineering practices, and lead teams in implementing modern automation frameworks, AI‑assisted testing, and CI/CD‑aligned workflows. The ideal candidate will have strong hands‑on automation skills, leadership capability, and experience collaborating across development, QA, DevOps, and business teams. This role focuses on leading automation delivery, mentoring team members, and ensuring high‑quality releases—not enterprise architecture strategy.
Technical Skills (Must Have) Expert-level proficiency in Java programming, including the ability to write clean, modular, object oriented code. Must be capable of creating custom classes, reusable components, utilities, and automation libraries. Hands-on experience with Playwright using Java, including building, maintaining, and debugging UI automation frameworks (POM, modular design, utilities). Strong experience in API testing using Postman, including writing assertions, building workflows, creating environment configs, and integrating API tests into CI/CD pipelines. Hands-on coding capability, with the ability to independently build automation scripts, extend frameworks, debug code, and work directly within code repositories. Solid expertise in CI/CD pipeline implementation, using tools such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI. Must be able to configure triggers, stages, quality gates, and integrate automated tests into pipelines. Strong understanding of DevOps processes, including version control, build & deployment pipelines, environment management, configuration management, and release processes. Practical experience with test automation tools and frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, RestAssured, or equivalent. Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies including functional, regression, integration, UAT, smoke, and end-to-end testing. Experience architecting and implementing automation frameworks (hybrid, data-driven, keyword-driven, BDD, or custom frameworks). Experience with API testing tools such as Postman and Swagger. Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and executing automated tests in cloud environments. Knowledge of AI/LLM-based testing tools such as GitHub Copilot, AI-assisted code generation, and prompt engineering. Good understanding of risk-based testing and risk management principles.
Professional Experience 5–10+ years of demonstrated QA experience, including at least 3 years in automation leadership, test architecture, or senior QA roles. Proven experience collaborating with business analysts and SMEs to translate business requirements into test scenarios and automation coverage. Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor QA teams, providing hands-on guidance in automation tools, frameworks, and modern QA best practices. Strong experience in defining end-to-end automation strategies, automation roadmaps, and test plans for enterprise-scale programs. Proven track record of delivering high-quality test documentation, including test plans, strategy documents, test cases, automation approaches, and execution reports. Experience working within Agile/Scrum teams, participating in sprint ceremonies, and ensuring continuous testing throughout the development lifecycle. Ability to analyze complex application logic and guide junior testers in understanding functional workflows and dependencies. Experience communicating test metrics, execution progress, defect analysis, and overall quality insights to leadership and stakeholders.
