Job DetailsJob Location: Estis Midland Shop- PRO - Midland, TX 79707Education Level: 4 Year DegreeTravel Percentage: NegligibleJob Shift: DayPosition Overview: The Quality Engineer/Data Analyst serves as a technical resource, supporting and sustaining the company’s fleet of compressor packages. This position is instrumental in maintaining Flowco - Surface Equipment’s place as an industry leader in delivering reliable and innovative compression solutions. Day to day tasks will vary, but may include: Responsibilities/Job Duties • Encourage and promote a strong Safety Culture. Maintain a safe work environment. • In cooperation with team, lead the development, validation, implementation, and maintenance of SOPs and work instructions. • Measure work performance, workflow, and operator techniques. • Work hand-in-hand with company’s Engineering and Operations staff to establish maintenance practices, diagnose problems, optimize processes, and train technicians. • Aid in Root Cause Failure Analyses, as well as developing and driving corrective actions. • Create and manage documentation and reports; which may include NDE and other inspection procedures in order to remain compliant with industry, regulatory, safety, environmental, and customer standards. • Support development of control systems and process improvements to reduce CoPQ. • Recommend new or enhanced methods, procedures, and standards. • Ability to assimilate complex ideas and data, distilling into presentations and reports for distribution internally and external to the company. • Perform audits of established processes to ensure compliance with accepted SOPs or terms. • Works with company’s vendors to address concerns and develop solutions when needed. • Collects and records results of sampling and testing to maintain record of product quality. • Inspects product at job sites to substantiate customer's claim of product defects. • Promote a collaborative and Continuous Improvement Culture. • Adhere to company policy, procedures, and rules. • Maintain a positive, team-oriented attitude. Qualifications • Bachelor of Science in Engineering or related technical quality experience • Knowledge of quality control principles, techniques, and tools • Proficiency in relevant software and systems • Knowledge of reciprocating gas compressors a plus • Strong attention to detail, observation, and organizational skills • Ability to read and understand drawings • Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision • Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret information • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Ability to meet deadlines and established goals and objectives in a fast-paced environment Qualifications Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Engineering or related field and a minimum of five years of Quality experience in a production/manufacturing environment is preferred. Will also consider an associate degree in Engineering or related field or equivalent experience. Preferred qualifications: Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma experience. Experience in creating and establishing strategic Quality processes and reporting Quality metrics. Experience with New Product Introduction.
