Top 3 responsibilities

  • Plan, execute and report tests of aircraft systems and structures on rigs (from small rigs to full-scale ISTCR, CAST, DADTT)

  • Plan and conduct dynamics and wind tunnel tests on components, sub-systems, and full aircraft; lead test setup and data collection

  • Define/test rig requirements, select data acquisition/load control methods, develop test procedures, and ensure test readiness and compliance

Must-have skills

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering; up to 3 years of relevant experience

  • Knowledge of instrumentation, data acquisition, and load control; strong troubleshooting and problem-solving

  • Ability to work autonomously, think critically, and communicate effectively in French and English; strong organization and time-management

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with aircraft systems (fly-by-wire, hydraulics, avionics, electrical)

  • Additional experience with test planning, data systems, or wind tunnel operations

What are your contributions to the team? Plan and conduct tests of aircraft systems and structures on small scale rigs up to full-scale aircraft-level rigs such as the Integrated Systems Test & Certification Rig (ISTCR), Complete Airframe Static Test (CAST) and the Durability and Damage Tolerance Test (DADTT). Plan and conduct dynamics tests on aircraft components, sub-systems and full-scale aircraft, including noise, vibration, modal and impact/shock tests. Plan and conduct aerodynamic wind tunnel tests on scaled aircraft models, coordinating test preparatory activities with the engineering groups and wind tunnel facilities, and leading the wind tunnel model setup, test execution, data collection and test reporting activities. Participate in the preliminary definition of the rigs with various engineering groups. Participate in the definition and selection of data acquisition systems, load control systems and measurement methods. Review and comment on test requirements, schedules, and aircraft systems and structures installation and commissioning procedures with the various engineering groups and write test plans. Prepare test procedures and commission the rig & aircraft systems to ensure test readiness. Execute tests for Development, Safety of Flight and Certification on the rigs and report the results. How to thrive in this role? You have a Bachelor’s or a Master’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering with up to 3 years of relevant work experience. You have knowledge of instrumentation, data acquisition, and load control systems. You have good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. You can work autonomously and think critically when making decisions. You have strong organizational, interpersonal, time management and communication skills. You are resilient, flexible, open to change and manage stress positively. You have strong oral and written skills in French and English. You are familiar with Microsoft Office software.
