The role is a key part of the Network Technology Team who are continuously developing and delivering new networks/systems and customer products. What you’ll do: Develop and maintain network automation and orchestration POC solution and workflows. Manage multi-vendor environments and service lifecycles through orchestration platform. Collaborate with other network designers/SMEs/organization’s management to identify and provide network automation solutions. Adapt the solutions to meet Business Unit requirements. Liaise with vendors and partners. Determine the most suitable automation and orchestration frameworks, APIs and infrastructure components to support network operations. Contribute to ASX documentation and knowledge base as required. Be accountable for automation performance and service delivery outcomes, meeting customer expectations, while driving future improvements and demand. What you’ve done: Minimum 4+ years of hands-on experience in Network Automation or Network DevOps roles specialized in delivery of at least two of the following environments: AWS networking ISP/Carrier networks Enterprise and Data Centre networks Security appliances (Load Balancer, Firewalls, etc.) Strong experience with Python for network automation, data parsing, and API integration. Proven experience building or maintaining automation frameworks for large-scale network environments. Proven experience working in a mission critical environment, with proven success in delivering complex solutions with adherence to all change processes and project delivery methodologies. Understanding of network devices and configurations (BGP, VXLAN, ACLs, F5 VIPs, SSL, Public Key Infrastructure) across data centre switches, routers, firewalls and load balancers in large corporate environments. Knowledge of cloud technologies, AWS cloud networking (Transit GWs, VPC, VPC peering, Elastic IP, Direct Connects) and cloud applications like Route 53, NLB, ALB, etc. Experience developing network orchestration workflows using tools such as Ansible, SaltStack, Cisco NSO or NetBox API. Experience with infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools such as Terraform for network or cloud automation. Familiar with CI/CD pipelines using GitLab, GitHub Actions, or Jekins for automated deployment and testing. Practical knowledge of RESTful APIs, JSON/YAML, and working with API documentation for multi-vendor network devices. Exposure to network telemetry, monitoring and observability tools such as SolarWinds, CVP, Grafana, or Elasticsearch. Hands-on experience with version control systems (Git) and branching strategies for collaborate automation projects. Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes) for running automation workloads. Strong focus on code quality, testing and reusability. Experience integrating automation workflows across multi-vendor network environments (Cisco, Arista, Palo Alto, etc.) Knowledge of API-based network controllers (Arista CVP/CVaaS, Cisco DNA Centre, etc) Desirable experience with event-driven automation frameworks. Understanding of security automation (e.g. Automating firewall rules). Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills with a focus on reliability and operational simplicity.
