Role & seniority: Network Automation Engineer, Mid-Senior level (Contract) – India
Stack/tools: Python (core), Ansible, Terraform, ServiceNow; API-based integrations; DevOps/CI‑CD familiarity; network devices (switches, routers, firewalls, load balancers); monitoring/data tools (IP SLA, SQL/NoSQL/Time-Series DBs)
Create and maintain automation workflows and scripts for network provisioning, configuration, and deployment
Implement monitoring, reporting, and automation to optimize network performance; troubleshoot network and tool issues
Collaborate with network engineers, DevOps, and security teams; document designs, processes, and procedures; ensure security/compliance
Strong Python proficiency; solid networking fundamentals and device experience
Experience with Ansible, Terraform, and API-based integrations
Familiarity with network monitoring (e.g., IP SLA) and databases (SQL/NoSQL/Time-Series)
Understanding of CI/CD and basic DevOps practices
JavaScript or PowerShell
Deeper familiarity with ServiceNow

Implement and maintain automation that adheres to network security standards and compliance requirements.
Requirements
Python is a key language, but other languages like JavaScript or PowerShell can be beneficial. Proficiency with tools like Ansible, Terraform, and ServiceNow is good to have A strong understanding of networking fundamentals, including protocols, and experience with various network devices (switches, routers, firewalls, load balancers). Experience with API-based integrations to connect and automate different systems.
