Test Strategy Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and develop test strategies for WSS products, considering optical performance, reliability, and manufacturability.
Test Plan Creation: Create detailed test plans that outline test cases, methodologies, and success criteria for both prototype and production stages.
Test Automation: Maintain automated test scripts and frameworks to streamline testing processes, improve efficiency, and reduce human error.
Optical Testing: Conduct comprehensive optical characterization tests, including spectral analysis, signal integrity, and optical power measurements, to ensure product compliance with specifications.
Performance Validation: Evaluate WSS product performance under different environmental conditions, such as temperature and humidity, to assess robustness and reliability.
Defect Analysis: Identify, document, and track defects using industry-standard defect tracking tools, working closely with the engineering team to resolve issues.
Manufacturing Support: Collaborate with manufacturing teams to transfer test processes into production, ensuring consistency and reliability in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
Data Analysis: Analyze test data to identify trends, assess product performance, and make data-driven recommendations for product improvements.
Documentation: Maintain comprehensive test documentation, including test plans, procedures, and reports, to support quality assurance and regulatory compliance.
Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to propose and implement improvements in testing methodologies and equipment.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, or a related field. 3-5+ years or proven experience in optical testing and measurement techniques in a high-tech industrial environment, with a focus on optical switches or related optical components. Programming and scripting skills (e.g. VB, Python) for test automation. Experience with optical test equipment such as optical spectrum analyzers, optical power meters, and optical switches. Proficiency in statistical analysis tools and data visualization. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Familiarity with quality standards and regulatory requirements in the optical industry is a plus.
