Job Title: Automation Technician / PLC & SCADA Programmer
Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands (Onsite with hybrid flexibility) Overview We are seeking an Automation Technician / PLC & SCADA Programmer to support a Pharmaceutical Company located in Amsterdam. The engineer will play a vital role in production automation and project delivery. The successful candidate will join the existing automation team and contribute to both operational support and project execution.
Key Responsibilities Develop, modify, and maintain PLC and SCADA code for production automation systems Support manufacturing operations and troubleshoot automation issues Provide technical support to production, including occasional after-hours support Assist in executing automation projects and improving system performance Work closely with the existing automation team to reduce pressure on current resources
Requirements Proven hands-on experience with PLC/SCADA programming (actual coding experience required) Technology-agnostic mindset — systems used are niche/legacy and training will be provided Strong technical/automation background (industry experience preferred) Ability to quickly learn and work with older or specialised automation platforms Willingness to work onsite in the Amsterdam (hybrid model available) Availability to start in the near term
Nice to Have Experience in production/manufacturing automation environments International candidates open to working in the Netherlands Dutch language skills (not mandatory)
