QA Engineer Contract, Hybrid, Dublin City Centre

About the Company Our client is a leading US company with offices in Dublin city center.

About the Position We are seeking a hands-on, innovative Quality Engineer to play a key role in the design, development, and rollout of new software products and services. This role is embedded within an Agile Scrum environment and works closely with cross-functional teams including architects, engineers, analysts, managers, and product owners to support rapid, high-quality delivery. The successful candidate will champion automation-first quality practices and ensure that solutions meet high stakeholder and user expectations.

Key Responsibilities

Act as a Quality Engineer and Automation Specialist for a core software platform Support and implement the overall QA strategy, including test planning and test design Apply and evolve automated QA processes through hands-on contribution across the development lifecycle Tackle complex QA automation challenges and improve test reliability and coverage

Support and enhance the defect lifecycle process, including

• Defining QA processes
• Establishing dashboards and metrics (e.g. defect injection rate, escape rate, test coverage)
• Work confidently with open-source test frameworks
• Design and oversee QA environment strategy and provisioning to support multiple stakeholders
• Collaborate across all teams and champion quality as part of the Definition of Done

The Person Required Experience 3+ years’ experience in automated testing using Java and/or Groovy 2+ years’ experience in cross-browser testing 2+ years’ experience working with relational databases 2+ years’ experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment
