About the Role We’re looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer to support the delivery of high-quality software solutions in the transportation industry. In this role, you’ll evaluate the integrity, accuracy, and performance of applications and systems to ensure they meet business requirements and acceptance criteria. You’ll collaborate closely with Developers, Product Owners, and Development Managers while testing modern web, mobile, and integrated hardware solutions. This is a hybrid position combining remote and onsite work. Essential Responsibilities Test Design & Execution Design, create, maintain, and execute test scenarios, test cases, test scripts, and automated regression test scripts using tools such as Microsoft Azure DevOps and JIRA X-Ray. Execute test cases across multiple iOS and Android devices and form factors, including phones, tablets, and wearables. Perform hands-on field testing to validate seamless hardware and software integration, document detailed results, and conduct data-driven analysis. Automation & Quality Assurance Develop, implement, and maintain manual and automated test cases and scripts across multiple projects. Improve test efficiency and coverage by identifying opportunities for automation and testing process improvements. Ensure integration and regression testing is completed prior to product releases. Agile & Cross-Functional Collaboration Collaborate with Developers, Product Owners, and Development Managers to identify, troubleshoot, and help resolve defects and issues. Participate in Agile (SCRUM) environments and support Test-Driven Development (TDD) practices. Build and maintain effective working relationships with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. Defect Management & Process Improvement Report, track, and verify software defects and requirements-related issues. Analyze defects, support root cause analysis, and verify fixes. Assist in developing and improving systematic approaches to ensure the delivery of high-quality products and services. Qualifications Must be authorized to work in the U.S. (no current or future visa sponsorship available). Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience. 3–5 years of experience in mobile software or application testing on Android and iOS devices, including at least 1 year of test automation experience. Strong knowledge of relational database management systems such as Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, and SQLite. Solid understanding of the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and testing methodologies. Experience analyzing software features and functional requirements, and designing, planning, executing, and maintaining test cases. Demonstrated experience with defect reporting, issue tracking, verifying bug fixes, and coordinating testing activities with development and QA teams. Bonus Points For Experience with hardware testing. Hands-on experience with automation testing on iOS and Android platforms using Appium. Experience or working knowledge of C# and scripting languages such as Java, JavaScript, Python, or PowerShell. Experience with API testing using tools such as Postman, ReadyAPI, Karate, or RestAssured.
