Role & seniority: Quality Engineer I (entry-to-mid level)
Stack/tools: AS9100, NADCAP, QMS; Lean (5S/Kaizen), Six Sigma; CAD, ERP/QMS software; customer audits; root-cause tools (5-Why, 8D)
Establish, implement, and maintain the quality management system (QMS) aligned with AS9100/NADCAP;
Lead corrective/preventive actions and internal/external audits;
Interface with Engineering/Operations to transfer new products to production and ensure compliance with customer requirements
Bachelor’s in Mechanical/Industrial/Aerospace Engineering, Materials Science or Metallurgy; aerospace experience; AS9100/NADCAP training; strong RCA/CFCA, Lean/Six Sigma proficiency; CAD/ERP/QMS proficiency; leadership/mentoring experience

As a Quality Engineer I, you will lead critical quality initiatives, ensure compliance with customer and regulatory requirements, and drive process improvements across aerospace manufacturing operations. You will have responsibility for maintaining a product quality and inspection system consistent with the plant’s quality policies and objectives including, but not limited to, dimensional, metallurgical, NDT and part traceability.
Location: Manchester, CT
This position is 100% on site.
