About The Role
We are seeking a Senior Automation Engineer to establish and lead quality practices across our mobile-first fintech platform. This role will design testing strategy, implement and enhance automation frameworks, and ensure reliability of critical business flows and system integrations.
You will be responsible for validating functional requirements, performing database and performance testing, maintaining CI/CD-integrated automation, and ensuring comprehensive test coverage. This role requires strong expertise in API automation, databases, and modern testing tools, along with a passion for continuous improvement and delivering high-quality software.
Key Responsibilities
Conducting API testing using tools such as Postman, RestAssured or similar tools. Develop and maintain automated test scripts for API’s using industry-standard automation tools and frameworks. Collaborate with software developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and design appropriate test plans and strategies. Perform functional, integration, regression and End to End tests to ensure overall quality of the product. Perform load and stress testing to identify performance bottlenecks and scalability issues Perform financial and data integrity validation including wallet balances, transaction consistency, and yield calculations Test integrations with payment gateways, KYC/AML providers, and banking services Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in API testing and automation
Key Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or equivalent. 4+ years of experience in software quality automation, with a focus on Appium, Playwright or similar frameworks. Experience in REST API Testing and automation and exposure to tools like Postman, or Swagger, SOAP UI. Strong hands-on with database validations using SQL Proficiency in CI/CD pipelines and modern testing practices. Experience with performance or load testing tools. Strong troubleshooting skills using application logs, network logs, network proxies and etc, identifying the root cause of issues and provide necessary information to the development team. Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
