Role & seniority: Environmental Test Engineer, individual contributor, reports to the Test Engineering Lead (EBAD).
Stack/tools: Aerospace test lab capabilities; instrumentation (oscilloscopes, accelerometers, transducers, signal conditioners, etc.); data acquisition and analysis (LabVIEW, DAQ); CAD (SolidWorks); Microsoft Office.
Evaluate environmental requirements and develop detailed test plans and procedures.
Schedule and coordinate tests with internal and external labs; perform data interpretation and create test reports.
Troubleshoot, select/test equipment/instrumentation, develop/prove test methods, and drive continuous improvement and documentation.
AS/BS in engineering (Mechanical or Electrical preferred); non-degreed candidates with ≥10 years in a related test-lab role considered.
Strong written/verbal communication and ability to interface across organization levels.
Solid mechanical aptitude, problem-solving ability, and knowledge of electronic products; aerospace exposure preferred.
Experience in climatic, thermal, vibration, altitude/pressure testing; familiarity with SRS/shock testing.
Aerospace industry experience; CAD (SolidWorks); LabVIEW or similar DAQ software.

Responsibilities: The Test Engineer provides support for environmental and testing of EBA&D electronics products, test lab capability growth and technical problem solving in the following areas. Mechanical and Electrical are the preferred engineering disciplines. Non-degreed candidates will be considered if they have a minimum of 10 years of directly related experience in a test lab environment. Candidates shall have good written and verbal communication skills and be able to interface with individuals at multiple levels in the organization. Strong mechanical aptitude and problem solving are required. Knowledge of electronic products is required, explosive materials and/or ordnance devices is beneficial. Experience working in an aerospace industry is preferred.
