Full Description
Hybrid 3 days per week in Palo Alto, CA
Our client’s Network Engineering team architects, builds, automates, and manages a global network infrastructure across on‑premises data centers and AWS, Azure, and GCP. The team supports enterprise-scale environments, including government cloud platforms used for federal development and hosting. As a Network Automation Engineer, you will join a collaborative team that delivers scalable solutions and solves complex infrastructure challenges.

Rate: $59.00 to $65.00/hr. w2
Responsibilities Manage and support network and security infrastructure across AWS, Azure, and GCP, including government cloud environments. Ensure network stability, availability, and performance across on‑premises and public cloud networks. Monitor the network support queue and provide advanced troubleshooting for infrastructure issues. Diagnose complex network problems, identify root causes, and drive corrective actions. Support enterprise and global network connectivity across data center, cloud, and WAN environments. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams on network architecture, enhancements, and large‑scale initiatives.
Experience Requirements 7+ years of hands-on network engineering experience across architecture, design, and implementation for enterprise-scale environments. Strong experience with at least one public cloud platform among AWS, Azure, or GCP. Multi-cloud experience preferred. 3 years of automation experience using Terraform, Ansible, and Python. Understanding of enterprise network design for data center and campus networking, public cloud networking, and global WAN connectivity. Knowledge of IPv4 and IPv6, BGP and MBGP, VPNs, L2 switching, VXLAN, and L2/L3 networking protocols. Hands-on experience with network hardware from vendors such as Arista, Cisco, Meraki, Broadcom, Mellanox, and Palo Alto Networks. Experience supporting and managing load balancers, including Citrix NetScaler (preferred), AVI, NGINX, and HAProxy. Public cloud networking certifications (preferred).
