What You’ll Be Doing (position summary)
- The Quality Engineering Consultant is responsible for leading the testing activities within CIBC’s ET Quality Engineering team. This role ensures that client needs are met with the highest quality standards by overseeing all aspects of the testing process, including the design, development, and maintenance of automated test scripts. The incumbent coordinates end-to-end testing, drives continuous improvement, and ensures testing processes comply with organizational and regulatory requirements. The role works closely with project managers, developers, quality engineers, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality technology solutions.

How You’ll Succeed (responsibilities)
Testing Expertise
- Lead investigation and translation of business and technical requirements into comprehensive test cases
- Design, manage, and execute end-to-end testing activities for various projects, ensuring alignment with project timelines and quality standards
- Develop and maintain detailed test plans, schedules, and resource allocations
- Develop, execute, and maintain automated test cases and test suites using automation tools
- Track, report, and manage defects throughout the testing lifecycle, ensuring prompt resolution
- Prepare and present regular status reports, test metrics, and risk assessments to project leadership
- Ensure all testing activities comply with organizational policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements
Automation Expertise
- Design and implement automation strategies, tools, and frameworks to enhance testing efficiency and effectiveness
