With offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber, and commercial fields. Leidos is involved in multiple contracts to provide hardware and systems for high energy weapons, launchers, Hypersonics, radar and emission systems, and target surrogates for several DoD customers. Job Responsibilities: Support mechanical and electrical manufacturing and assembly, integration and testing for aerospace and defense manufacturing. Perform program quality planning, analyze program Quality Assurance (QA) requirements, develop inspection/test procedures and process plans, finalize source inspection checklist, coordinate review of nonconformance documentation, and support root cause/corrective action. Review AS9102 FAI documentation, working with DCMA, and other government quality assurance agencies. Collection and reporting of Quality Metrics, reviewing and approving new drawings, supporting project managers during design, manufacturing readiness reviews, PDR, CDR, APQP, PPAP, DFMEA, PFMEA, and conducting supplier surveillance audits. Basic Qualifications: US Citzen with the ability to obtain and maintain at least a DoD Secret clearance. Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years of experience or a Master’s Degree with 2+ years of experience. Additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. Candidate must have experience working with non-conforming material, performing failure analysis, identifying root causes, and implementing corrective actions. Must have experience writing work instructions, procedures, and implementing Quality Management System (QMS) documentation associated with AS9100. Candidate must be able to review and interpret contract quality clauses and technical data and develop and document appropriate quality verification procedures, plans, and work instructions, including AS9102 First Article Inspection documentation. Experience using Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) is preferred. Must have demonstrated experience in effectively communicating within a team environment. The position requires candidates to be capable of performing in a collaborative engineering environment, working closely with multi-disciplinary teams. Candidate must have the ability to read and interpret blueprints/schematics, CAD models, specifications, and contract quality requirements, and other documents, including review and approval of AS9102 First Article Inspection. Candidates must be residents of North Alabama or willing to relocate to the area. Candidates must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. Preferred Qualifications: US Citizen with an active DoD Secret clearance or higher. Knowledge of Systems Engineering and Agile practices.
