Role & seniority: Robotics QA and Deployment Intern (6-month, full-time)

As a Robotics QA and Deployment Intern at Origin (Formerly 10xConstruction) you'll play a key role in testing and refining AI-powered robotic systems designed to transform the construction industry. This hands-on role involves cross-functional collaboration across mechanical design, embedded systems, ROS-based control, and computer vision.
You'll contribute to real-world experiments, data analysis, and quality assurance, gaining end-to-end robotics experience in a fast-paced startup environment.
Own the bug reporting pipeline - Identify and report bugs from simulation/real world tests, co-ordinate with engineering teams to perform a/b testing for fixing on field issues. Set up and maintain test environments—both physical and simulated Collect, document, and analyze data to assess system performance and reliability Contribute to quality assurance by identifying system bugs, logging anomalies, and ensuring repeatability and data accuracy Suggest engineering improvements based on experimental outcomes Participate in the design and analysis of statistically sound experiments (DOE) Create clear technical documentation and test reports
Requirements
Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Robotics, Mechanical, Electrical, or Computer Engineering Strong academic record with relevant hands-on robotics or automation experience Familiarity with embedded systems (e.g., Arduino, Raspberry Pi) and basic electronics Operational Excellence and Documentation Experience with ROS and/or Python/C++ is preferred Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and communication skills Basic understanding of Design of Experiments (DOE) is a plus Available for a 6-month full-time internship Immediate joiners are preferred
