Our client, a renowned company in the aerospace industry, is currently seeking a permanent Quality Assurance Engineer to join their team. This role focuses on maintaining the highest levels of quality and process assurance within design and development projects, ensuring compliance, and driving continuous improvement. The position is based in Fareham and involves working closely with internal teams, suppliers, and business partners.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and handle external QA interfaces on projects Review and approve design and development documents to ensure conformance with quality system requirements Develop Quality Plans to meet stakeholder, contractual, and regulatory needs Audit project lifecycles to ensure compliance with aerospace standards such as ARP4754, ED-80, and ED-12C Ensure customer requirements, design review criteria, and transition criteria are satisfied Ensure items used for conformance assessment comply with the associated life cycle data Detect, manage, and agree on deviations to the design process Handle all QA matters throughout the development contract lifecycle
Job Requirements
Experience in Quality Engineering and Quality Assurance within the aerospace sector Awareness of project development lifecycle and knowledge of AS9100, ARP4754A, DO178b/c, and D0254 Bachelor's Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong prioritisation, analytical, and research skills Ability to manage sub-contractors and ensure compliance with plans
