About the Role This is a full-time, in-person role at our El Segundo facility.
As the Senior Automation Engineer, you’ll lead the design, prototype, and deployment of automated manufacturing systems that will enable scaled production of Hybron’s manufacturing technology, along with benefitting cycle time and part consistency. You’ll own Hybron’s automation roadmap, working hands-on with machines, sensors, and tooling to scale production of mission-critical components for aerospace, defense, and energy.
The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced, hardware-heavy environments, enjoys rapid prototyping, and works seamlessly with engineers, operators, and leadership.
What we’re looking for Must be a U.S. Person pursuant to EAR and ITAR definitions 3+ years of industry experience with automation of manufacturing processes, including motion control, robotics, PLCs, sensors, software Proven track record of developing robots and automated systems Experience with scaling up processes while improving efficiency through automation Ability to quickly develop, design, build, and iterate on minimum viable automation solutions Ability to handle the entire development stack of automation, including design, sourcing, fabrication, programming, troubleshooting, etc. Comfortable wiring, testing, and iterating electromechanical systems.
