Compensation: $65,000

About the Opportunity As the Address Validation Coordinator, you’ll play a critical role in connecting people and places by ensuring address data is accurate, reliable, and ready to support real-world operations. Leveraging your GIS expertise, you’ll help transform raw location information into meaningful insights that guide service delivery, planning, and decision-making. This position offers the opportunity to collaborate across teams, apply innovative mapping and validation tools, and directly impact how communities and customers are served. Responsibilities

• Validate, standardize, and maintain address records across multiple platforms and databases.
• Use GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS) to analyze, map, and verify address locations.
• Identify and resolve address discrepancies by cross-referencing multiple data sources such as municipal records, postal data, and utility information.
• Support field teams with accurate address data for service delivery, construction, and permitting.
• Develop and maintain workflows for continuous address validation and quality control.
• Collaborate with IT, engineering, planning, and customer service teams to ensure address data aligns with operational needs.
• Prepare reports, maps, and documentation for internal stakeholders and external regulatory agencies.
• Monitor industry standards and best practices for geospatial data management, address formatting, and data governance.
• Assist in the integration of address data with enterprise GIS, permitting, and asset management systems.

Requirements

• Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Geography, GIS, Urban Planning, Data Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Proficiency in GIS applications (ArcGIS, QGIS, or similar).
• Strong understanding of geocoding, address databases, and spatial data integrity.
• Experience with data validation, quality assurance, and database management.
• Familiarity with postal standards (e.g., USPS, municipal addressing guidelines) is preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments.
