Job Description We are looking for an experienced QA Lead to manage the testing and quality processes for web and GIS-based applications. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in manual and automation testing, GIS data validation, and functional testing of large-scale, map-driven systems. The role requires close collaboration with development, GIS, and business teams to ensure end-to-end product quality and compliance with enterprise project standards.

Key Responsibilities

QA Strategy & Planning

Define and execute the QA strategy, test plans, and test cases for web and GIS components.
Plan and manage testing activities across multiple sprints and releases.
Identify and document test scenarios for both functional and spatial data workflows.
Lead the QA team to ensure coverage and consistency across test cycles.

Testing & Validation

Perform functional, regression, integration, and system testing of web applications.
Validate GIS data accuracy — map layers, coordinates, spatial queries, and metadata consistency.
Test map rendering, layer overlays, geoprocessing tools, and API integrations.
Automate critical test scenarios using frameworks like Selenium, Cypress, or Postman Collections.
Conduct API testing and validation of backend services (REST/JSON).

Quality Control & Reporting

Track and report defects through JIRA or Azure DevOps.
Coordinate defect triage and ensure timely resolutions with the dev team.
Maintain detailed QA documentation — test plans, results, and quality metrics.
Implement and monitor quality KPIs for project delivery.

Collaboration & Leadership

Work closely with developers, GIS SMEs, BAs, and DevOps for seamless release management.
Provide technical guidance to junior QA engineers.
Participate in client demos and user acceptance testing (UAT).

Experience with
