Permanent Full Time Opportunity The Quality Engineer is responsible for leading and embedding quality engineering practices to ensure the highest standards of software quality across GFS products. This role requires a proactive, engineering-led approach to quality, with strong ownership of test strategy, test approach, automation frameworks, and CI/CD integration. You will provide subject matter expertise in test automation, exploratory testing, tooling, and quality practices, while continuously improving product quality and engineering maturity.

In this role you will

• Create, own, and continuously evolve the test strategy and test approach for the product team
• Define test scope, test levels, environments, and quality objectives aligned to business risk
• Embed quality practices into discovery, design, development, and delivery phases
• Design, build, and maintain test automation frameworks for UI, API, and backend testing
• Create, maintain, and optimise CI/CD pipelines that support continuous testing
• Integrate automation frameworks into GitHub or Azure based workflows
• Monitor and improve code quality, coverage, and technical debt and analyse engineering flow, delivery performance, and quality signals
• Use AI-assisted tools to support to test automation development, code quality improvement and test data generation and analysis
• Create and maintain clear technical and quality documentation and encourage knowledge sharing
• What are we looking for?
• Minimum 5+ years experience in software testing with a strong focus on automation and proven experience creating and owning test strategies and test approaches
• Test automation scripting using Python, C#, Groovy, Typescript, or similar
• API automation and testing using Postman, ReadyAPI or similar
• UI and automation tools such as Playwright, TestComplete, SmartBear tools
• Strong collaboration skills and ability to influence cross-functional teams
• Exceptional analytical and critical thinking skills
• Strong quality mindset with a continuous improvement focus
