Role & seniority: QA Automation Lead (Contract)

Akkodis is seeking a QA Automation Lead for a Contract with a client in Austin, TX or Sunnyvale, CA(Hybrid). Candidate must have strong expertise in UI/API automation using Selenium, Java/JavaScript, and Playwright to be considered for the role.
Rate Range: $54/hour to $56/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
QA Automation Lead Job Responsibilities Include
Leading the design, development, and enhancement of UI/API automation frameworks using Selenium, Playwright, and Java/JavaScript. Driving regression execution, maintenance of automated scripts, and ensuring continuous coverage across sprints. Performing API testing through tools such as Postman and managing performance tests using JMeter, LoadRunner, or similar tools. Collaborating with cross‑functional and geographically distributed teams to align test strategy, automation scope, and delivery timelines. Integrating automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or Azure DevOps to enable shift‑left quality practices. Conducting code reviews, enforcing best practices, and monitoring automation quality through tools like SonarQube and Grafana.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, software engineering, or a related technical field. 8–10 years of hands‑on experience in QA automation and testing leadership. Candidate must have strong capability in UI/API automation using Selenium, Playwright, Java/JavaScript, and experience integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines. Candidate must have proven expertise in designing automation frameworks, executing regression suites, and leading distributed QA teams across Agile environments.

Pay Details: $54.00 to $56.00 per hour
