Quality Engineer
Primary Responsibility
The Quality Engineer leads Six Sigma and quality engineering initiatives to improve product quality and manufacturing processes. This role uses established quality tools, statistical methods, and robust data analysis to drive continuous improvement, ensure compliance to IATF 16949 and customer-specific requirements, and support internal and external audits. The Quality Engineer also serves as a technical liaison for best process control practices between LEJ, its customers, and internal operations.
Minimum Requirements
Associate’s or technical degree in Engineering, Quality, or related field (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
Core APQP tools: PPAP, Control Plans (CP), FMEA Familiarity with Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) methods; ability to achieve/maintain NDT Level I certification for all NDT methods used at LEJ (Eddy Current, Liquid Penetrant, etc.) and assist in all aspects of NDT. Strong written and verbal communication skills for interaction with internal teams and customers. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); experience with quality/spc/statistical software preferred. Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple projects with basic project management skills.
Key Responsibilities
Quality System & Documentation Develop, revise, and review quality procedures, work instructions, and related documentation to ensure compliance with IATF 16949 and customer-specific requirements.
