Stack/tools: 3D CAD (NX, CATIA) a plus; Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); statistical process control knowledge.

Ensure quality requirements flow down from customer PO, blueprints, and specs to Job Travelers/work instructions.

Develop and implement root cause and corrective actions for nonconforming material; analyze quality costs.

Interpret specifications, review instructions, and prepare inspection/test instructions; apply SPC practices.
Must-have skills

Technical degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing/Quality or 5 years Quality Engineer experience; ability to work in aerospace manufacturing.

U.S. Person and ability to obtain/maintain U.S. Security Clearance if required.
Nice-to-haves

ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE); experience with NX/CATIA; aerospace industry exposure.

Full Description
Experienced quality engineer with an emphasis in manufacturing processes - particularly aerospace machining and associated processes. Responsible for assuring that quality requirements are flowed down from customer purchase orders, blueprints, 3D Models and technical specifications to Job Travelers, and or related work instructions. Implement Root Cause and Corrective Actions on nonconforming material. Full-time, hourly, day-shift position.
Responsibilities
Identify new and unique quality processes or inspection techniques and prepare inspection and test instructions for the inspections Interpret blueprint and technical specifications Review Job Travelers and or work instructions to assure flow down of quality requirements Analyze areas of quality cost and implement root cause corrective action for overall reduction in quality cost Demonstrate a working knowledge of statistical process control techniques
Requirements
A technical degree in engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing or Quality) or 5 years’ experience as a Quality Engineer ASQ Certified Quality Engineer is a plus
3D CAD Software: NX and CATIA experience is a plus Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, PowerPoint and MSWord with efficient keyboarding skills Applicant must be a U.S. Person Experience in aerospace industry is a plus Applicant must be knowledgeable and experienced in manufacturing processes Strong work ethic is a must Good verbal and written communication skills is necessary Ability to work with others in a team environment and be highly self-motivated Must have a forward-thinking mindset, thrive on a challenge and be able to think “outside the box”
May be required to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance at the appropriate level. Requires U.S. Citizenship. Must also be able to satisfy federal government requirements for access to government information, and having dual citizenship may preclude you from being able to meet this requirement.
