Role & seniority: Networking QA Engineer (experienced), individual contributor with team-leading quality focus.
Stack/tools: Networking and network security engineering; protocols (IPSEC, VPN, VRRP, BGP, OSPF, HTTP, TLS, TCP/IP); Firewalls/Routers/VPN Concentrators; top vendors (Palo Alto, Check Point, Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet); QA methodologies and SDLC practices; cross-team test planning and regression testing.
Top 3 responsibilities

Prepare and execute feature test plans for cross-team features; simulate and investigate complex customer network use cases.

Lead Pre-Release Regression cycles; coordinate regression content across domains and execute regressions with QA teammates.

Monitor quality KPIs, drive mitigations (bug escaping, test coverage, zero-bug policy), mentor the team, and provide feedback on requirements, specs, and designs; reflect clear status on processes.
Must-have skills

Proven hands-on networking and/or network security engineering experience.

Deep understanding of networking protocols and building networks from scratch (including firewalls/routers/VPN concentrators).

3+ years in network-related work and 3+ years in software QA/testing (functional and non-functional); strong problem-solving and communication; high integrity and attention to detail.
Nice-to-haves

Networking/Security certificates (CCNA, JNCIA, CCSE) advantageous.

Experience testing web applications; knowledge of AWS or Azure.

You will be highly involved in SASE’s development process, starting from the requirement gathering, prioritization, and documentation. You will test our network-oriented features from its very early stage and will be able to affect its feature quality, ensuring that the code is always shippable. You will work with ‘first line’ network devices while constantly maintaining knowledge along with newest technology changes.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and execute feature test plan for cross team features Simulate and investigate customers’ use cases in complex network environments Participate in Pre-Release Regression cycles Preparing the regression content of multiple teams in your domain Execute the regression together with your QA teammates Reflect status on progress Lead your team to higher quality Monitor quality KPI’s and processes of the team and work on mitigations when needed (such as escaping bugs, testing coverage, zero Bug policy etc) Mentor and monitor your team to follow best practices of SDLC with High Quality Investigate Escaping bugs and provide RCA Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback Be able to reflect clear status on process
Qualifications
Proven hands-on networking and/or network security engineering experience Deep understanding of networking protocols (e.g., IPSEC, VPN, VRRP, BGP, OSPF, HTTP, TLS, TCP/IP) 3 years’ experience with planning, configuring, building networks from scratch involving elements such as: Firewalls/Routers/VPN Concentrators of top-5 vendors such as: (Palo Alto/Check Point/Cisco/Juniper/Fortinet) 3 years' experience with conducting different software QA testing types (functional and non-functional) and QA methodologies Excellent problem-solving and communication skills Consistently demonstrates a high level of integrity and professionalism High attention to detail Networking and Security certificates such as CCNA, JNCIA and CCSE - Advantage Experience in testing WEB applications - Advantage Knowledge in Amazon AWS or Azure - Advantage
