We are seeking a QA Engineer with a strong automation-first mindset and hands-on experience testing web applications, APIs, and data/analytics systems. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working close to the code, understands distributed systems, and thinks holistically about quality across the application, data, and reporting layers.
You will work closely with Engineering, Product, Analytics, and DevOps teams to ensure that features are delivered with high functional correctness, system reliability, and data integrity.
Quality Ownership & Functional Testing Collaborate with Product Managers and Engineering teams to understand requirements, clarify acceptance criteria, and define test strategies early in the development lifecycle. Establish and maintain QA standards, processes, and best practices for consistent quality across teams. Validate that delivered features meet functional, non-functional, and business requirements with a strong focus on usability and reliability. Analyze test results to identify defects, behavioral risks, and edge cases, and recommend preventive solutions. Track and report quality metrics such as defect leakage, automation coverage, release readiness, and data accuracy.
Test Automation & Engineering Design, implement, execute, and maintain automated and manual test cases across web, API, and backend systems. Build and maintain a robust automation suite that is used consistently across releases. Drive in-sprint automation, ensuring that new features are automated as part of development rather than post-release. Partner with developers to improve testability, observability, and environment stability. Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous delivery
Data & Analytics Quality Assurance (Explicit Focus) Basic validation of data flows between source systems and reports or dashboards. Verify correctness of key data fields in reports and analytics views. Perform simple data checks by comparing source data with reporting outputs (OLTP databases, payment gateways, CRM systems like HubSpot) and downstream analytics platforms. Validate reports, dashboards and metrics for accuracy, completeness, and consistency. Identify and help prevent common analytics issues such as data drift, duplication, late-arriving data and broken joins. Collaborate with developers and analysts to clarify data-related test scenarios. Hands-on experience in writing SQL queries with joins for data validation and testing
Non-Functional Testing Execute and guide performance, reliability, and basic security testing. Validate system behavior under load, stress, and failure scenarios. Work with Engineering and DevOps teams to identify and mitigate production risks early.
Automation & Programming
Proficiency in at least one programming language: Java, C#, or Python
