Title: PLANT MODELING-Hill Engineer
Location: Mossville iL
We’re looking for someone that worked/made changes/created Simulink models by leveraging the dSPACE hardware, designing harnesses, and then eventually creating the Control Desk GUI to be able to execute the testing, and NOT someone that simply uses a HiL setup or a dSPACE Control desk to do the testing. Sharing the job description below. Please let us know if you have any questions.
Strong hands‑on experience with Hardware‑in‑the‑Loop (HiL) systems using dSPACE PHS/MRET/MRET Scalexio (bonus if candidate also has Opal experience) Be able to create Simulink models to simulate sensor inputs such as voltage and PWM signals on dSPACE HiL benches for system level integration testing Solid working knowledge of J1939 datalink protocols and embedded network communications (bonus if candidate also has Ethernet experience) Proficiency with Vector tools (e.g., CANoe, CANalyzer) or comparable tools for datalink monitoring, analysis, and troubleshooting Demonstrated ability to design, build, and debug dSPACE PHS/MRET/MRET Scalexio HiL test benches, including hardware integration and signal simulation Strong knowledge of automation tools or programming knowledge such as Python, C, or C++ Systems‑level thinker with the ability to understand and reason about interactions across components and functional domains, not just individual test cases Experience diagnosing complex network and electrical system‑level issues by correlating software, hardware, and datalink behavior Strong communication skills, with experience collaborating with cross‑functional process partners to develop clear, robust test plans and detailed test cases Self‑starter who can quickly ramp up, operate with minimal oversight, and contribute effectively from day one
Understanding of SiL (Googletest or Pytest experience) CI/CD/CT Experience (understanding of tools and processes) Experience with Microsoft Github Co-pilot or other AI work tool
