Role Overview
We are looking for a Senior Quality Engineer with 4+ years of hands-on experience in functional, non-functional, and automation testing.
The ideal candidate should be capable of independently owning feature-level testing, executing performance validations, and contributing actively to automation frameworks.
This role requires strong technical depth, understanding of complete deployment cycles, and the ability to ensure release readiness in a fast-paced product environment.
Key Responsibilities
Functional Testing
Analyse requirements and understand complete user workflows
Independently own testing of assigned features from Dev Complete to release validation
Design and execute functional, regression, and exploratory test scenarios
Identify edge cases, risk areas, and potential production impact
Log clear, detailed defects with proper evidence and documentation
Re-test fixes and validate builds in staging environments
Non-Functional Testing
Plan and execute load and performance testing
Use tools such as JMeter, k6, or equivalent
Analyse system performance, response times, and scalability under load
Identify performance bottlenecks and provide actionable observations
Automation & Technical Skills
Strong proficiency in at least one programming language: Java, JavaScript, or Python
Hands-on experience building or maintaining automation frameworks using Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress
Experience designing and executing automated regression suites
Strong API testing experience using Postman or similar tools
Solid understanding of Git workflows, branching strategies, and pull request reviews
Experience integrating automated tests within CI/CD pipelines
Ability to debug automation scripts and analyse test failures independently
