The Senior Testing and Automation Engineer is a technical leader responsible for ensuring the quality and stability of software products within the FinTech domain. This role involves leading testing efforts, developing and implementing comprehensive test strategies, driving test automation initiatives, and mentoring junior Testing and Automation engineers.
Lead the analysis of requirements and specifications to create comprehensive test strategies and plans Design and develop complex test cases and test data for various testing types (functional, performance, security, usability) Drive the development and maintenance of robust automated test frameworks and scripts Lead the execution of test cases and the analysis of test results, identifying root causes of defects Identify and track software defects, ensuring effective communication and collaboration with development teams for resolution Provide guidance and mentorship to junior Testing and Automation engineers on testing methodologies and best practices Contribute to the continuous improvement of the testing process and tools
Requirements
Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineer 1ing, or a related field
Experience: 4+ years of progressive experience as a Testing and Automation Engineer with a strong focus on test automation and test strategy development. Proven experience in the financial services industry is a plus
Deep understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices Proven expertise in designing and executing test plans and test cases for complex systems Strong proficiency in multiple test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, Cypress) In-depth knowledge of different testing types (e.g., unit, integration, functional, performance, security, usability) Strong familiarity with Agile development methodologies and testing within Agile teams Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner) and security testing tools is a plus
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability 1 to clearly articulate technical issues.
