🕒 1st Shift (7: 30am – 4:00pm) Position Overview We are seeking an Automation Engineer to support injection molding and automated assembly operations in a high-volume automotive manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for PLC programming, process optimization, and automation troubleshooting to improve production efficiency, reliability, and quality. This is a hands-on engineering role ideal for someone with 2–4 years of experience in manufacturing automation who is looking to expand their technical scope and project ownership. Key Responsibilities Develop and modify PLC/HMI programs (Omron, Keyence, Pro-face preferred) Support injection molding and assembly line automation systems Troubleshoot electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and robotic systems Conduct time studies and analyze process performance Assist with line layout development and process flow improvements Support new model launches and automation integration Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions Collaborate cross-functionally with production, quality, tooling, and maintenance teams Participate in continuous improvement (Kaizen) initiatives Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field 2–4 years of experience in automotive manufacturing or injection molding Experience with PLC programming (Omron, Keyence, or similar platforms) Knowledge of sensors, I/O systems, robotics, and industrial controls Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Experience conducting time studies and process optimization Proficient in Microsoft Office Preferred Qualifications Experience with multi-platform PLC systems Wiring knowledge Experience supporting automated assembly lines Project management exposure What We’re Looking For Hands-on automation engineer comfortable on the plant floor Strong communicator who can work cross-functionally Self-starter who can work independently with minimal supervision Continuous improvement mindset
